Sunflower Beatdown

This Sunflower Beatdown was unlike the others KU actually put a fight taking the lead twice early on. getting the first score... putting a huge knot in my KU hating stomach. KU was aided on second drive but fake punt and fake field goal conversions putting ku n possition to tie.

right before half KSU got there 1st of 3 1nt's but was unable to convert into points seemingly puttin momentum with KU but KSU held lead21-14 half

2nd half is when the beatdown happend with the KSU D pickn 2 more passes 5 sacks and a fummble

colin klein was 7-14 129 yrds 2 rushing tds 2 passing. RB jon Hubert put video game like numbers 10 att/101 yrds 4 tds

KU Qb CRist seemed to quit on team in 2nd half goin down on at least 2 sacks before contact

I swear KSU is the only team in the NCAA who would only move up 1 spot when 3 of the top five teams lose complete B.S.... WHich is why we have to contune to DEFY THE ODDS

WE DID IT

WE did it!  Kansas State took down Oklahoma. We did it with great defense most of the game. Our bend but dont break defense was there all night. We held them to a Field goal before causing a fumble for a TD taking a 7/3 lead.
ou fumbled again their 2nd drive which lead to a fg for ksu  KSU scored 10 points off turnovers in first half.
OU kicked 2 fgs in 1st half.
we lead 10-6 at half.

WE were 17- 12 early 4th When Ou QB Landry Jones appeared to fumble once agin on his own 10 yard line it was overturned this lead to OU taking a Brief lead.

Then Collin Klein lead the team for the game winning score.

Playn a weak non conference oppenent sad  we played down to our compitenion we sucked most of the game. both of our tds that caused us to win were soo close they had to be reviewed. athuor brown our lb hurt his ankle, we are not goin to beat ou with out him. i hope hes healthy this week

KSU calms strom

The week 2 whipping we on the U would've made my dad soo proud. He always said if a team from Florida came to Manhatten they wouldnt stand a chance. he was right Saturday. KSU set the tone of the game by coming out and driving the ball for a TD. They took 12 plays and approx 5:44 off the clock... Ending with a Klein rush td.

On Miami's first drive of the game KSU's lynch mob DEFense caused a fumble. KSU quickly turned that into another rushing TD by Klein.

From then on we poured it on all game at one point scoring 2 TD's in about 2 minutes.

The final score was 52-13 KSU...ONce again our D was stellar and our O was great.

Things that happend that could help in the long run in week 2 that will help our title quest:
1. 13 Wisconsin lost
2. 8 Arkansas lost
3. 16 Nebraska lost
4. 18 Oklahoma St. lost

Coming out of week 1 KSU looked mediocore for 3 quarters. Colin Klein didnt take a beatn which  is a good thing.  the defense only gave up 9 points also a good thing. We scored 42 points in quarter. We moved up 2 spots in the polls;to 20th nationally.

Things to improve on for this week. more offense at the begining of the game.

During week one nationally the chalk basically won so nothing really helped except ourselves winning. no big upsets.

My name is Ian Kuenzi. Im a mass media major at Washburn university. I have always wanted to be

 involved in sports so this is my way of doing so...i will review each game of KSU football for the

2012-13 season. i will provide a summary of the game. Along with the summary of games; weekly i

will also provide OUR advantages/disadvantages for each opponent.

Plus my view on what must happen around the country in that week  for the Kansas state to defy the odds and win the national champioship.

I hope by reading this blog people will become engrossed in KSU football and become life long fans like myself while gaining an appreciation for midwest football since its extremely diffcult to get main stream coverage.
